Spacewise was founded by Aparna and Philip in 2002, and is now an established furniture store and interior design studio.
Our chief designer, Aparna Philip’s, foray in to the interior design world was inevitable, and played out organically. Aparna’s eye for style, design and detail was first evidenced in the interiors of her own home. This led to her close friends asking for her help in decorating their homes, and that journey culminated in the launch of Spacewise.
As Spacewise grew, Aparna’s husband Philip, joined the business to enable accelerated scaling of production and quality control. While Spacewise has evolved over the past two decades, its core philosophy remains unchanged: an insightful local response to Chennai’s growing demand for luxury, contemporary living.

We offer a highly personalized and enjoyable design service to create bespoke luxury interiors that encapsulate our client’s every need. Aparna’s success comes from her particular ability to translate the design vision into a reality that doesn’t compromise on practicality or comfort. As she often jokes, “No one knows how comfortable those glass slippers Cinderella wore were, or whether her feet were pedicured that night….maybe that’s really why she left the ball early.” Luxury living combines style, impact and comfort and Spacewise doesn’t leave any detail to chance. We understand the success of our projects lies not only in the end result but also the client’s experience through the process.
We take pride in our high levels of customer service, and accept only a limited number of projects at a time, to ensure every client receives the time and attention they deserve.

Our founders fully appreciate this and have handpicked our team of contractors, suppliers and artisans who execute our designs to our exacting levels of precision, quality and care.
